The programme is designed to strengthen research networking, knowledge sharing and long-term collaboration across the alliance by supporting mobility between partner institutions. It aims to encourage new scientific partnerships, mentoring, teaching, training and the exchange of expertise in a cross-border academic environment.
Who can apply?
The call is open exclusively to R2, R3 and R4 researchers, according to the European Framework for Research Careers, who are affiliated with an Across partner institution. Applicants may submit one application per call. Each proposal should contribute to one of the Across focus areas and identify a relevant Knowledge Creation Team (KCT). Mobility activities may support, for example, an emerging research project, joint publication, joint proposal, workshop, open dataset, Graduate School activity, Challenge Team activity or stakeholder/citizen-science initiative.
Mobility format and duration
Mobility must take place at another Across partner university and must amount to at least one month.
The mobility may be organised in either physical or hybrid format. For hybrid mobility, the researcher must spend at least two weeks physically present at the host institution. Shorter mobility periods may also be combined to reach a cumulative duration of one month, provided the applicant formally commits to completing the full period. Mobilities funded under this call must be completed by 30 September 2027.
Funding
The grant covers travel, accommodation and subsistence costs related to the physical part of the mobility.
The maximum individual contribution is €2,000 for one month of physical mobility. No financial contribution is provided for the online component of hybrid mobility. Travel support is calculated according to distance and mode of transport, with green travel support available where applicable. Additional inclusion support is also available for participants with fewer opportunities, according to the relevant institutional Erasmus+ guidelines.
What should the mobility include?
Applicants are expected to propose a structured programme combining research networking and knowledge sharing. A teaching component related to the researcher’s academic or scientific field is required, while mentoring and advanced training activities may also be included.
Applicants should also explain how the mobility will strengthen links between the sending and host research groups and contribute to future collaboration within Across.
Selection
Applications will be assessed through a competitive evaluation process. Particular attention will be given to:
- the quality of the expected concrete output;
- the feasibility and impact of the networking, teaching, mentoring, training and knowledge-sharing programme;
- the potential for long-term collaboration within Across;
- the contribution to Knowledge Creation Teams and future joint initiatives;
- alignment with one of the Across focus areas;
- the duration of the physical mobility.

Candidates must submit the official Mobility Application Form and all required supporting documents. For split mobility programmes, a Commitment Declaration (Annex 2) must also be included.
