University of Ruse Angel Kanchev is pleased to invite researchers, academics, communication professionals, and higher education stakeholders to participate in the international scientific conference “Universities as Communication Ecosystems”, taking place from 12–14 November 2026 in Ruse, Bulgaria, in a hybrid format.

Organised within the framework of the Across – European University for Cross-Border Knowledge Sharing Alliance, the conference will explore the evolving role of universities as dynamic ecosystems of communication, knowledge exchange, research, innovation, and societal engagement.

Building on previous initiatives dedicated to university communication, academic media, and the public presence of higher education institutions, the conference aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue on topics such as:

  • Academic communication and public engagement
  • Multilingualism and intercultural dialogue
  • Knowledge exchange and dissemination
  • Digital transformation in higher education
  • Universities as ecosystems of knowledge and innovation
  • The role of higher education in contemporary European societies

The event will bring together participants from across Europe and beyond, providing a platform for discussion, collaboration, and the exchange of best practices among researchers and professionals working in higher education and communication-related fields.
