Across Seasonal Schools

Take advantage of this international classroom experience. Work together with participants and organisers from our 10 Across countries.

Information

Our seasonal schools are a wonderful opportunity for an intensive international learning experience in a short period of time.

Since 2021, Across has been actively promoting cooperation and academic exchange among its partners by funding up to four Seasonal Schools annually. These events serve as platforms for collaboration, offering a unique blend of academic education, training, and enrichment activities aimed at strengthening ties across the Across Alliance.

The realisation of these events has been made possible thanks to the generous funding of the German DAAD, which has supported Across within the funding programme “European Networks (EUNs) – National Initiatives” from 2021 to 2023.

Across Seasonal School Offers

  • Travel Grants: Each Seasonal School offers travel grants to 15 to 20 students, enabling them to attend sessions hosted in Chemnitz, Germany.
  • Open to All Members: Across Seasonal Schools welcome participation from all members of our partner universities, including academic and non-academic staff, as well as students.
  • Organizational Support: The Across Office provides both organizational and financial support to researchers, lecturers, and students from partner universities involved in organizing Seasonal Schools in Chemnitz/Germany.

Strengthening Collaboration

At the heart of this initiative is the goal of fostering collaboration at all levels. By bringing together members from various institutions, Seasonal Schools facilitate networking, knowledge exchange, and interdisciplinary engagement.

How to Participate

To realize a Seasonal School, applicants from at least two universities within the Across Alliance must submit a successful course proposal. This collaborative effort ensures the dynamic and inclusive nature of each event.
