Issue 6 of the Journal of Across Languages and Intercultural Studies (JALIS), published by the University of Ruse, is a peer-reviewed journal exploring how language, culture, and communication evolve in the digital age. From literary translation to artificial intelligence, from online communities to human–robot interaction, this issue brings together diverse perspectives that help us better understand contemporary forms of communication, cultural identity, and innovative learning.

This issue stems from the International Conference “Language, Culture and the Future of Communication in the Digital Age”, jointly organized by the University of Ruse and the University of Craiova within the framework of the Across – European University for Cross-Border Knowledge Sharing (ACROSS). The ACROSS alliance aims to foster research and shared knowledge, promoting collaboration and exchange among scholars, particularly on topics related to identity and innovative learning.

The articles featured in Issue 6 address a wide range of topics, including literary (re)translation, artificial intelligence in education, digital communities, political discourse online, podcasting, legal translation, and linguistic hybridity. Together, they highlight the complexity of contemporary communicative practices and the ways digital environments reshape cultural, educational, and linguistic dynamics.
