The 9th German-Polish Conference on Optimization will be held at Bialystok University of Technology, Białystok, Poland, from September 21–25, 2026.
In addition, a two-day workshop will be organized for PhD students and other interested participants as part of the event.
A strong international participation
We are pleased to invite you to participate in the 9th German-Polish Conference on Optimization – Methods and Applications, an international scientific event continuing the long-standing tradition of collaboration between the Polish and German research communities.
Although rooted in Polish-German cooperation, the conference warmly welcomes researchers, academics, and professionals from across Europe and beyond. The strong international participation in previous editions highlights the importance and growing impact of the topics discussed.
The thematic scope
The thematic scope of the conference includes, among others:
- Optimization in Machine Learning
- Applications of Fractional Calculus in Optimization Problems
These areas reflect the rapid development of modern optimization methods and their influence on applied mathematics, data science, and engineering.
The two-day workshop for PhD students
In addition to the main conference, a two-day workshop will be organized for PhD students and other interested participants (up to 30 people). The workshop will be led by distinguished lecturers from Poland and Germany — recognized experts in optimization and its modern applications. It aims to deepen participants’ knowledge, develop research skills, and foster international scientific cooperation.
A long standing tradition
This conference continues a well-established series organized since 1999, with previous editions held alternately in Poland and Germany:
Żagań (1999), Cottbus (2002), Będlewo (2005), Moritzburg (2009), Kraków (2011), Wittenberg (2014), Będlewo (2017), and Apolda (2022).
