The event “Women in STEM” is organised by University of Udine within the framework of the Across European project and its activities for inclusion, gender equality and diversity. It presents a social media campaign collecting and sharing stories of female students, researchers and professors working in STEM disciplines.
The invited speaker is Prof. Dr. Gabrijela Zaharijas, researcher at the University of Nova Gorica, who will share her professional experience as an astrophysicist.
The event will conclude with the award ceremony of the first edition of the “Premio di Laurea” promoted in collaboration with Confagricoltura Donna FVG, aimed at supporting and promoting women’s talent in the agricultural and forestry sectors.
The initiative is part of a broader campaign of the Across Alliance to challenge stereotypes about women in science and to highlight excellent female scientists across partner universities.
