The IX Predoctoral Conference of the University of Girona will take place between Monday the 16th of June until Thursday the 19th of June 2025, in the Sala de Grados of the Faculty of Law, Montilivi Campus, Girona. The conference is organised by the Doctoral School in collaboration with the Vice-Rector’s Office for Research.
The aim of the conference is to provide a space for knowledge exchange, research dissemination and debate among all researchers in training. In addition to doctoral candidates, University of Girona master’s students are also invited to present their Master’s Final Project research (TFM). Consult how to participate.
The programme comprises oral communications regarding the current research participants are carrying out at the University of Girona, complemented by plenary lectures and guest lectures from other universities.
The papers and lectures presented orally during the conference will appear in an electronic book with an ISBN. You can consult the latest publication of the VIII Jornades Predoctorals.
The Universitat de Girona (UdG) is part of the “European University for Cross-Border Knowledge Sharing – Across alliance” under the European University Initiative. This edition of the UdG Conference for Pre-doctoral Researchers will be part of the Across alliance Graduate School activities and will therefore be open to predoctoral researchers from partner universities.
In addition to disseminating the interim results of the university community, additional objectives of the IX JoDocs are:
- To develop the capacity of students to present and disseminate their doctoral theses research findings.
- To use the coffee breaks as a space in which to share ideas and research experiences, promoting debate and communication, both between doctoral students and amongst doctoral students and doctors, in the context of the current challenges of pre-doctoral research and the added value of the doctorate for accessing the labour market.
