Participants will particularly focus on social scientific aspects and on individual and societal perceptions of technological developments.

The two-day program offers:

  • Keynote lectures by international experts
  • Interactive discussions and workshops
  • A creative writing workshop on embedding creativity into scientific prose
  • Networking opportunities during a social get-together

Keynote Speakers:

  • Prof. Dr. Jaime Banks (School of Information Studies, Syracuse University, USA)
  • Prof. Dr. Fabio Buttussi (HCI Lab, University of Udine, Italy)
  • Prof. Dr. Sorin Cazacu (Department of English Literature, University of Craiova, Romania)

In addition, the Summer School offers a unique opportunity to combine participation with the Mensch und Computer 2025 conference on human-computer interaction, which will take place shortly afterward in Chemnitz, starting on August 31, 2025.
