UR: A team from the Department of Informatics and Information Technologies of the University of Ruse won second place in the international AI hackathon in Craiova, Romania
On June 4th, 2025, the team from the Department of Informatics and Information Technologies of the University of Ruse , consisting of Martin Djurov, Kristian Spasov and Asst. Dr. Vasil Kozov, participated online in the international AI hackathon Across Hackathon, organized within the ACROSS Alliance at the INCESA research center in Craiova, Romania.
The team developed an AI classifier for scientific publications, a proprietary model trained on a large corpus of real scientific data. The developed product won second place among 10 teams from universities in Romania, Spain, Germany and Italy.
