A hackathon is a programming marathon in which multidisciplinary teams work intensively over several hours or days to solve specific technological challenges. On this occasion, eleven teams from Across partner universities developed AI-based tools applied to education, social sciences, and STEM.
The competition was organized by the University of Craiova with the aim of fostering transnational collaboration and knowledge exchange among students and researchers. As recognition, the winners received a one-week research stay at the University of Craiova, as well as Amazon gift vouchers.
This first Across hackathon exemplifies the spirit of the Alliance: promoting joint initiatives that strengthen academic excellence and technological innovation through cooperation among European universities. UdG’s participation and success confirm its active involvement in this strategic project to build a more connected and competitive European higher education area.
