The nine rectors of the Alliance convened in Nova Gorica.
The nine rectors of the Across Alliance, and their representatives, met on September 24 and 25 at the invitation of the University of Nova Gorica, in Slovenia, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, in the meantime as the city of Nova Gorica, with its neighbor Gorizia, is celebrating the 2025 European Capital of Cross-Border Culture.
This visit also allowed the rectors to visit the neighboring University of Udine in Italy. In addition to the media lab, the rectors saw that the university is at the forefront of digital teacher training, thanks to the EDUNEXT Digital Education Hub and the ECOBI training model.
The Consortium Agreement: a strategic roadmap for the Alliance
At the Rectors’ Council meeting held on September 25, representatives of the nine Across universities signed the consortium agreement, which defines the governance and cooperation arrangements within the Alliance.
The Rectors’ Board: steering the Alliance’s strategic direction
The Rectors’ Board guides the strategic development of the Alliance, taking into account the envisioned intra- and inter-Alliance long-term cooperation.
It ensures that each Party’s priorities are aligned with the vision of the Alliance and that the relevant governance bodies of each Party are engaged in Alliance activities.
It is composed of the rectors or presidents appointed in line with the national regulations of the respective partner institutions.
The Rectors’ Board is the ultimate decision-making body of the Consortium. It is responsible for the consortium membership structure, monitoring the achievement of the project’s objectives and results, and overseeing the use of funds in accordance with the purpose set out in the Grant Agreement.
The Rectors’ Board plays also a crucial role in promoting the activities of the Task Teams within the university and in fostering collaboration with strategic partners in cross-border regions.
