The KnOwledge CREATION TEAMS - KCT

The Knowledge Creation Team consists of four teams of researchers and experts distributed across the nine full partner universities.

Four Transnational Research TEAMS

Knowledge Creation Teams (KCTs) are international research teams bringing together researchers and experts from the nine partner universities of the Across Alliance, with 20 researchers from each university. Organised around four key thematic areas, the KCTs foster cross-border collaboration, knowledge production and innovation by connecting researchers at all career stages—from PhD candidates to early-career researchers—to develop joint projects and address major societal challenges.

The results of their work will be translated into concrete recommendations by the Across Alliance think tank, contributing to evidence-based policy and strategic decision-making.

THE FOUR KNOWLEDGE CREATION TEAMS

KCT 1: Education in cross-border contexts

This Knowledge Creation Team explores education systems and practices in cross-border contexts, where mobility, diversity and institutional cooperation make comparative and transnational analysis particularly relevant.

KCT 2: Culture, language, identity and heritage

This team examines culture, language, identity and heritage, issues that are deeply shaped by cross-border interactions and benefit from international perspectives and shared cultural frameworks.

KCT 3: Economic, legal, regulatory policies and social development

This Knowledge Creation Team focuses on economic, legal and regulatory policies and their impact on social development, where cross-border cooperation is essential to address shared challenges and policy convergence.

KCT 4: Natural Resource management

This team investigates natural resource management in the context of global change, a field where environmental challenges transcend national borders and require coordinated, international approaches and innovative solutions.
