As we step into this new year, we wish all our partners, colleagues and friends a very happy and successful year!
One year ago, the Across Alliance was born — a young alliance bringing together 10 universities, driven by one shared ambition: working across borders to rethink research, education and innovation.
In just one year, Across has already achieved a lot:
- The launch of four Knowledge Creation Teams (KCTs) on identity, education, regulation and cross-border resource management.
- The creation of an Across Border Think Tank, designed to provide analysis and recommendations on cross-border challenges and to foster strategic and interdisciplinary dialogue.
- The organisation of numerous research events, including our very first Across Hackathon.
- An Open Science Week, connected across all partner universities.
- Several summer schools, bringing together hundreds of students from across Europe.
- Mobility exchanges involving students, staff and academics, strengthening our shared academic community.
- Strong links with business and innovation ecosystems, notably through the Across Border Engagement Centers (ABEC).
- The launch of a YouTube channel with one scientific video released each week.
What’s next?
Because we are young, we are also ambitious. One of our next major steps will be the creation of an Across e-campus, enabling the sharing of courses and learning resources across the alliance.
One year old, full of ideas, and driven by a vibrant community — this is just the beginning.
