The International Staff Weeks, which take place twice a year, are one of the university’s international highlights. They offer a unique opportunity to meet like-minded people from all over the world and exchange ideas.

The 12th International Staff Week held in Bialystok from April 22-26, 2024, was a resounding success. The event brought together educators and administrative staff from various institutions to exchange knowledge, network, and collaborate on innovative projects.

Overview

Guests from 15 countries visited our Across partner Bialystok University of Technology during the 12th International Staff Week. Representatives from all university levels gathered for five exciting days to explore research specifics, study fields, and conditions at our dynamic Polish partner university. Engaging workshops, insightful presentations, collaborative project meetings, and lively social events created a fantastic platform for exchanging ideas and experiences.

Keynote Adress

Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Associate Prof. Dorota Krawczyk, emphasized: “International Staff Week is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen and maintain valuable contacts with partner universities. We create a unique space for interpersonal connections that can lead to exciting joint interuniversity and international projects. During International Staff Week, we agree on thematic scopes in didactics, science development, and academic exchange, including lecturer and student mobility. The benefits of organizing such events are immense for all involved.”

Professional and Cultural Programme

Guest lectures by representatives from Guyana, Bolivia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, and Ukraine brought a rich and diverse thematic range to the faculty program of Bialystok University of Technology.

The professional programme was further enriched by a variety of cultural events, including engaging sessions on Polish language and culture, as well as library and city tours, and visits to regional cultural and historical venues.

Planning for the 13th International Staff Week at Bialystok University of Technology is already underway and promises to be another fantastic event in December 2024.
