The course focuses on modern solutions applied in sustainable buildings, with a special emphasises on buildings envelope (form, materials), heating, ventilation and air condition (HVAC) systems and renewable energy sources (RESs). Students will also gain more general picture of how green and blue infrastructure contribute to sustainable development and fight against climate change. The discussion seminar will focus on pros and cons of analysed solutions. They will help students to conduct comprehensive analysis taking into account different aspects: technical, economic ecological, social, climatic or law to choose the best energy effective solution in future. Laboratories will familiarize students with factors influencing efficiency of RESs. During computer classes participants will design HVAC systems using modern professional software. Each year lecturers from various European universities from Poland, Italy, Spain and other countries used to be tutors on ESSB course.
What is more, students will work in international and interdisciplinary 3-4 person teams to not only learn from teachers but also from each other. Nowadays, creative thinking, language skills and facility to cooperate are indispensable to work on the international labour market.
